I wanted to find out which cross-chain memecoin bot was actually worth using, so I tested Dawn, Cove, Fomo and Banana Gun myself 😁
I looked at three things: usability, security and speed.
Speed mattered, but I quickly found that wallet security and how annoying each product was to use mattered a lot more.

Usability
Let's start with how easy each one actually is to use.
1. Dawn
Dawn was easily my favourite for usability.
Everything I needed was where I expected it to be, and I liked being able to do everything directly through Telegram.
I didn't have to dig through menus or keep figuring out where basic actions were. It just felt the most natural to use.

2. Cove
Cove was also easy to use and visually looked good. My main issue was the button placement.
A few actions weren't where I naturally expected them to be, so I found myself looking around more than I did with Dawn.
It wasn't a huge problem, but it made the experience slightly less intuitive.

3. Fomo
Fomo looks polished, but I found it more frustrating to navigate than the Telegram bots.
There were more screens to move through, and having to use a separate app felt slower and less convenient for me.
Some people will prefer the dedicated app, but personally I preferred the Telegram experience.

4. Banana Gun
Banana Gun was my least favourite for usability. The interface felt cluttered and I never really settled into it.
The bigger issue was switching chains.
In the workflow I tested, I had to bridge funds manually, which added another step to something that's supposed to make cross-chain trading easier.

Security
Security matters more to me than tiny differences in speed. If I'm putting money into a trading wallet, I want to know what's protecting it.
Dawn, Cove and Fomo all use Privy for their wallet infrastructure. That doesn't make them impossible to hack, but it was a positive for me.
I looked at wallet infrastructure, key export, previous security incidents and anything I could verify publicly.
Dawn
Privy9/10Dawn uses Privy for its wallet infrastructure. I already liked the bot from a usability point of view, so this was another positive.
Cove
Privy9/10Cove also uses Privy and says its wallets are secured in isolated enclaves, separate from the trading layer. From what I could verify, I felt similarly comfortable with its setup.
Fomo
Privy9/10Fomo also uses Privy, so it gets the same credit here. I wasn't a huge fan of the app itself, but its wallet setup wasn't what put me off.
Banana Gun
4/10Banana Gun is where I had more concerns. It suffered a security incident in September 2024 affecting 11 users, with roughly $3 million stolen. Users were later reimbursed and additional security measures were introduced.
That response matters, but the previous incident still makes me less comfortable keeping funds there personally.
Speed Test
I ran five tests using the same coin, at the same time, with automated clicks so my own reaction speed wouldn't affect the results.
Each test was based on which bot completed the trade first.

Each result is which bot completed the trade first in that test. All five tests used the same coin, at the same time, with automated clicks; I recorded finishing order rather than exact times.
Dawn was the most consistent overall, with Banana Gun very close behind.

After testing all four across usability, security and speed, Dawn came out on top for me, with Cove the closest alternative.
Fomo held its own on security but was the least enjoyable of the four to actually use. Banana Gun was genuinely fast, but its previous security incident made it a complete no for me: I'm not comfortable keeping funds somewhere that has already been breached once, however well the team responded.
My recommendation
If I had to pick one after testing all four, I'd go with Dawn. It was the easiest one for me to use, and it had the best speed results of the four in my tests.

It varies a lot by bot. Between them, the bots in our directory cover Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Arc, HyperEVM and Ink. Of the four I tested, Cove lists all eight and Dawn lists six (no Ethereum or HyperEVM). Chain support changes often, so check the bot's own docs before you deposit.
How much do cross-chain memecoin bots charge in fees?
Most charge around 1% per trade, taken out of the trade itself. Some vary it: Banana Gun lists 0.5% for manual trades and 1% for snipes, and Cove goes up to 2% on Ethereum and HyperEVM. Dawn and Cove also cover network gas up to $5 per trade, and several bots pay part of the fee back as cashback or referral rewards.
Are cross-chain memecoin trading bots safe to use?
Safer than a random bot, but never risk-free. Dawn, Cove and Fomo use Privy for their wallet infrastructure, and Dawn and Cove let you export your private key; Banana Gun had a breach in September 2024 that it later reimbursed. Whatever you use, keep only what you're actively trading in the bot wallet, back up your key, and remember the memecoins themselves are the bigger risk.
Can you copy trade memecoins across multiple chains?
Yes. Dawn has copy trading built in, and it's a common feature on per-chain bots such as Banana Gun, Maestro, Bloom and GMGN, where you copy a wallet on the chain it trades on, so it's usually chain by chain rather than in one go. Cove doesn't currently list copy trading.
